Sahara Dust
Book Two of My Memoir Trilogy
The Spaces Between
Expected in Late 2026

The vision becomes flesh. Antigua, 1982-1987.After hitchhiking 4,000 miles to a canyon vision in 1973, I found her—Thea,
the woman who moved like tides. Together we built a windsurfing empire on
turquoise water with perfect wind, teaching tourists to fly above the Caribbean.Paradise manifested. Until a plane crashed 50 yards off our beach, killing
six young sailors instantly. Then the Sahara dust storms arrived, carrying
death across the Atlantic on invisible winds.Thea had battled cystic fibrosis her entire life. Her lungs, already exhausted
from fighting, filled with fluid from the African dust. At 37, she died in a
New York City hospital while I was still trying to understand how paradise
could turn to ash so quickly. We returned her ashes to the ocean from a schooner off Pemaquid Lighthouse—
the water she loved, the element that defined us both, claiming her one
final time. Some things you can never outrun. Some people you never stop loving.Book Two of The Spaces Between trilogy. Expected publication late 2026.
